Yes. Urban Jax Homes holds Florida General Contractor license CGC #062461 and is fully insured — including general liability and workers’ compensation coverage. We pull every required permit for every project we build.
Three things: the standard of materials we use, the level of project management we provide, and the transparency of our process. We don’t subcontract out the project management — your project manager is an Urban Jax Homes team member who you can reach directly throughout construction. We also offer zero out-of-pocket financing, which most contractors don’t provide.
Yes. Urban Jax Homes provides a workmanship warranty on all projects. Specific warranty terms are outlined in your contract before construction begins. Manufacturer warranties on materials and systems are also passed through to you.
Renovation Projects
Renovations
Kitchen renovation investment varies based on scope, material selections, and your home’s specific conditions. Urban Jax Homes doesn’t quote kitchen renovations until we’ve seen your space — because every kitchen is different. Schedule a free in-home consultation and we’ll provide a detailed, itemized quote. No vague estimates, no surprises.
Bathroom renovation investment depends on scope, material selections, and the specific conditions of your bathroom. Urban Jax Homes provides a detailed, itemized quote after your free in-home consultation — once we’ve assessed your space and understood your vision. No vague estimates, no surprises.
Timelines vary by project type:
- Kitchen refresh: 2–3 weeks
- Full kitchen renovation: 4–10 weeks
- Bathroom refresh: 1–2 weeks
- Full bathroom renovation: 2–6 weeks
- Full home renovation: 10–16 weeks
Urban Jax Homes provides a detailed week-by-week schedule before work begins. You know exactly what happens and when.
It depends on the scope. For kitchen and bathroom renovations, most clients remain in the home. For full home renovations, temporary relocation is usually recommended. Urban Jax Homes advises on this during the consultation based on your specific project.
Yes, with advance coordination. If you’ve already purchased tile, fixtures, or appliances, Urban Jax Homes can integrate your materials into the project. Notify us during the design phase so we can account for lead times and specifications.
Always. Urban Jax Homes manages every required permit — building, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical — for every project we build. You never interact with the Jacksonville Building Department. CGC #062461.
Custom Home Construction
Custom Builds
Custom home construction costs depend on your design’s complexity, material selections, lot conditions, and total square footage. Urban Jax Homes provides a detailed, itemized budget during the planning phase — before any construction commitment is made. The first step is a free consultation where we discuss your vision, your site, and your timeline.
From design through Certificate of Occupancy, most custom homes take 10–18 months. Smaller, less complex homes may be completed in 10–12 months. Larger estate homes or projects with complex site work may take 18–24 months. Urban Jax Homes provides a detailed project schedule during the planning phase.
No. Urban Jax Homes provides architectural design assistance in-house, bringing design and construction under one roof. If you already have an architect you’d like to work with, we collaborate with any licensed architect in Jacksonville.
A design-build contractor handles both the architectural design and the construction of your home under one contract. The advantage is a single point of accountability — one team responsible for design accuracy, construction execution, and the final result. Urban Jax Homes operates as a design-build firm.
Turn-key means Urban Jax Homes manages every phase of the project — design, permitting, construction, subcontractor coordination, and final walkthrough — and delivers a completed, move-in-ready home. You make decisions; we handle execution.
